Simple Per-Request Pricing Model

Our pricing is built around simplicity, charging exactly $1 for every thousand successful retrieval requests. You incur a cost of one credit per request, making it easy to forecast expenses based on the number of successful retrievals. A successful request with no matching records also costs one credit. Budget for requests, not the number of records returned.

Each request can retrieve a maximum of one hundred records, allowing you to batch data efficiently while maintaining control over your usage patterns. There are no subscriptions required, so your costs remain directly tied to your activity level. This flexibility is ideal for projects that experience variable traffic, while any unused paid credits remain in your account without an expiry date.

Payments and Account Setup

Registration issues the API key before any payment. If you purchase credits, the minimum $50 top-up provides 50000 paid credits. An eligible optional trial offers one hundred credits, subject to network-wide anti-abuse limits, allowing you to test the API before committing to larger volumes. Paid credits do not expire, so you can use them at your own pace without worrying about losing your investment due to time constraints or subscription renewals.

Payments are processed using stablecoins, specifically USDT on TRON TRC20 and USDC on Ethereum mainnet ERC20. You will create a unique invoice, pay the exact amount, and then paste the transaction hash to verify the transfer. Use the recipient and exact amount on the current server-created invoice, which expires after one hour. Only a confirmed genuine transfer adds credit. Provider outages may leave verification pending; settlement time is not guaranteed.

Service Scope and Limitations

The API serves as an independent historical archive and is not the official live Reddit service. It supports endpoints for searching posts and comments, retrieving specific items, and listing subreddits. While it offers powerful filtering capabilities like date ranges and score limits, it does not support features like OAuth, posting, voting, or private messages. This focus on read-only historical data makes it perfect for research and archival purposes.

Your account creation requires an email and password, with an API key provided immediately upon signup. The key is shown only once, so ensure you save it securely. Errors such as insufficient credits or rate limits are clearly communicated, and upstream errors result in credit refunds. A lost client response can still follow a charged server success; a successful retry costs another credit. Invalid requests do not debit credits, so distinguish those cases in your request budget.
